Vintage Toledoware / Damascene Gold & Black Metal Triangular Floral Brooch

This lovely triangle-shaped brooch was created in Toledo, Spain using traditional damascene technique. Damascening is the art of inlaying bits of precious metal - gold and silver - into blackened base metal.  This Vintage 2 tone gold and charcoal floral design brooch pressed with pretty delicate & intricate flower details. Brooches are making a comeback!   Wrap gifts with a brooch bow, hang off gold toned chain. Beautiful on a bolero or any hat, scarf, jacket. This is a good one and I love this type of pin latch.     • High quality workmanship, fine details in this generously sized unique piece. • Secure and functional safety clasp is in the European “tube” style and holds well.   Minor surface scratches on gold-tone back. Approximately 1.5 inches wide & tall. Measures 1-3/8 inches in diameter. Excellent vintage condition.  Items are in gently used condition and we do our best to detect and describe flaws, but we are likely going to miss some.
