【DIY】Disposable Wakasagi Reel Kit 【Durable & Inexpensive】

Developed with the concept of overwhelming productivity and robustness like an AK rifle, this is a DIY wakasagi (smelt) fishing reel kit.

We created this reel because we wanted an inexpensive reel that could be used heavily, rather than an expensive dedicated one.
The main body has an extremely simple structure with only one screw, a spring, and a few washers.
We pursued a tool that can be used without fear of breaking.
If you get bored or it breaks, just throw it away, it's disposable anyway.

[What you need to prepare yourself]
To complete this product, please purchase the following two items separately at Daiso:

- Electric eraser (used as the power source for the main body)
- Craft bobbin (used as the spool)

[Line]
PE line is recommended. Daiso's fishing tackle offers thin PE lines that are excellent in terms of cost performance and compatibility.

[About colors]
We have green, black, and red, but we will basically send you a random color.

[Notes]
The fishing rod is not included, so please prepare one separately. The rod's butt diameter should be 5mm.
This is a handmade DIY part. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a finished product quality.
This is a DIY kit that requires you to attach and adjust it to the electric eraser yourself.

[Assembly instructions]
Please assemble in the following order, referring to the product images:
1. Insert the spring, short spacer, and washer onto the screw in that order, and then insert it into the main body.
2. Insert the middle spacer, long spacer (& spool), and two washers in that order, and tighten the nut.
3. Remove the front cap that is removed when replacing the battery of the Daiso electric eraser, and insert the disposable wakasagi reel in the same way while pressing the head of the screw (it will be stiff at first).

By pressing the head of the screw, the reel is released, and the rig will drop.
It is prone to backlash, so hold the reel with your finger while letting it drop.

[Tip 1]
It is convenient to add a mechanism to lock the line from being wound up too much.
Attach the float stopper, small bead, and large bead in that order.

[Tip 2]
The mysterious indentation next to the line hole is a hole for a spare eraser.
Keep it there in case the eraser in the main body wears out or gets lost.

[Tip 3]
The mysterious indentation on the back of the main body is designed to fit a Daiso neodymium magnet.
You don't need to attach it if you don't need a tapping base.
Use two-part epoxy for adhesion.
